Webinar: Excavations of the 17th Century Well
Seminario web: Excavaciones del pozo del siglo XVII
Join our Curator of Archaeology, Nicole Houck, for an update on the recent excavations at Drayton Hall. In spring, our archaeology team completed the excavation of a late 17th century well. The feature was excavated to a depth of 10 feet and over 9,000 artifacts were recovered from this early colonial period. Tune in to learn what new insights we have gained about the pre-Drayton era of the property, what the archaeobotanists found interesting, and what our team is up to now.
This is a Donate What You Can Event presented by Drayton Hall Preservation Trust. If you are not able to watch at the broadcast time, register as usual and the link to watch the event at your leisure will be emailed to all registered attendees the following day. We look forward to seeing you virtually!
